History
In 1992, Motorola dramatically changed the Australasian radio industry by establishing a Dealer network and ending direct sales to commercial clients.
 
Bearcom then known as Breakthrough Communications, was awarded the first radio dealership and by 1999 had expanded to include branches in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin. 

Bear Communications entered the scene in 1995, specialising in the rental of two-way radios. Growing rapidly, Bear developed a strong reputation that saw them become the nation’s premier event communications team, located in Sydney and Brisbane.

In 1999 a merger saw both companies join to form Bearcom, Australia’s largest radio dealership with offices now located Australia-wide. 

Moving forward to 2005, Bearcom has joined the TR Corporation group, a wholly owned organisation that offers specialised technical IT&T products across a myriad of industries. Bearcom are the two-way radio division, offering radio sales, system design and support to customers

1992 – Breakthrough Communications awarded the first Australian Motorola radio dealership
1995 – Bear Communications commences in Australia
1999 – Breakthrough and Bear combine to form BEARCOM, Australia’s largest dealership
2005 – Bearcom joins the TR Corporation group, to form Australasia's most dynamic IT&T organisation
2005 – Bearcom commences operations in New Zealand
